Learn About Optics With Allan M. Migdall

Many people do not like anything that related to science mainly due to the kind of in-depth research that it requires. Allan M. Migdall is a renowned physicist working with the Quantum Optics Group in the Quantum Measurement department. In his career, Allan has done numerous researches on various topics related to Quantum optics and single-photon detectors sources, and more. He has also researched on the production of Quantum computers that use Quantum memory. Another important thing to note about Allan M. is that he has been the director of Quantum Optics studies at the National Institute of Science and Technology. Worthy mentioning also is the fact that he is also a core-founder of the American Optical Society as well as the association of Photo-Optical Instrumentation Engineers. To show his dedication to his career, Allan has organized a number of conferences regarding the study of Photon Detector. He has also published a manuscript on single photon detectors.

Apart from that, Allan M. Migdall has a couple of other achievements including being an OSA presidential speaker for more than a decade. He has over the years managed to give lectures at various universities and middle level colleges in America on topics related to Optics. He has also created many research opportunities for students. On top of being a speaker, he has served for as a science advisor at the National Academy of Sciences. Some of the awards that Allan has won so far include NRC postdoctoral, Bronze medal, and membership of the Physical society.
